Aluminium Can Recycling

Situated at Halesowen Metals is our Aluminium Can Aggregation Centre.

Taking aluminium UBCs (used beverage cans) from fellow scrap metal merchants and waste companies.  The cans are processed and baled if necessary.  A quality test is performed to assess contamination and moisture levels before the loads are deemed furnace ready.

Aggregated loads are then transferred to a Novelis UK (see links) foundry where a recycled can is back on the shelf in 6 weeks.

Recycling 1 aluminium can saves enough energy to power a 100 watt bulb for almost 4 hours
